I've seen this pop up a few places this week, including the Ann Arbor News.
It's my impression that UAF will be seeded between 7th and 12th (so that
they will not have home ice), but not necessarily 12th.  This would be an
injustice to the CCHA regular season champion, as UAF may be better than
the CCHA cellar dwellar.  I've been told that UAF's seed will be determined
the week prior to the start of the CCHA playoffs.
 
If anyone can add to or clarify any of this, I would appreciate it.
