While this has nothing specifically to do with hockey, the season just
started so there is not much activity here. Anyway, here is the question
that I have for ya all NC$$ rule gods/godess'. Here at Northeastern,
Varsity Athlete's get free admission to all sporting events held at
home, while the rest of the student population has to pay per game, or
$45 for an all sport/all season pass. At first I thought that this
simply fell under 'Good things about being a varsity athlete.' But,
after reading some of the NC$$ rule discussions here, I've changed my
opinion of this. To me, this practice should fall under the rule that
doesn't allow anything given to a student-athlete that regular students
can't get. For example, Student-Athlete's can't get free room/board
unless all students have equal access to the same free room/board. Why
then wouldn't this free sports pass fall under the same jurisdiction?
Is the University itself excluded from this NC$$ law/rule???
 
Somebody must know something about this
