I haven't seen a posting from Carol or Erik, so I'll post that Gopher
defenseman Doug Zmolek will pass up his senior year by signing a contract
with the San Diego Sharks.  He will report to their training camp this
September.
 
I don't know the terms of the contract, but last spring he told the media
something to the effect of wanting a contract similar to that of Trent Klatt
(who signed with the North Stars last April).
