Duke of Earl earlier stated in a posting that Rick Comley is not a
candidate for the head coaching position at Notre Dame.  It occurs to
me that that statement makes it appear as though there is a vacancy
at Notre Dame.  That is not the case.  Ric Schaefer is still the head
coach at Notre Dame. Duke's posting is in reference to a rumor that
swept through Marquette (and apparently a few other places, too) that
had Rick Comley taking over as head coach at Notre Dame.  In fact,
someone here in Marquette even called Rick with the terms of Rick's
alleged contract with Notre Dame!  As I said before, where does this
stuff come from?!
