UMich coach Red Berensen had the best prediction on the final game, he
said (accurately so) that it would be boring. He was right, it was EXTREMELY
boring. Slow. Lot's of stops. Not well-played after the first period and
not all of that cuold be blamed on the officiating. Some will point out that
LSSU had 11 power plays but will avoid the fact that UW had 8. UW looked
really good in the last 15 min of the first, especially their agressive
penalty killing unit which obviously tired in the second.

UW outplayed the lakers at even strength in the first. There was hardly any
even strength in the second. LSSU outplayed UW at even strength in the 3rd.
I don't think the officiating was THAT terrible (with the exception of a few
calls) nor was it discernibly favoring LSSU.

Derksen looked awesome in the first period and decent (considering) in the
second but the game-losing goal he allowed was certainly a tough one. All in
all, he looke more solid and confident that Madeley. What are their draft
statuses?
