Thanks to Rick McAdoo, Thom Davis and Brian Morris for their comments on the NE Regional, and to Ed Moller for his off-list comments to me. I agree with virtually all that was said. I will add that UNH's performance did not embarrass me as much as it did frustrate and disappoint me. I know they are capable of better play, and for two great competitors like Mike Ayers and Steve Saviano to bow out that way had to hurt them.

Rick, your comments on the parking situation were right on. Manchester decided early on in the planning for the Verizon they did not want to invest in a parking garage, so it advertised a number of smaller city lots (some about 8 - 10 blocks away). A number of smaller lots such as the one you chose sprang up, charging anywhere from $10 - $20 for "event parking". And yeah, you did get stiffed but I think you handled it exactly as you should, and I hope you get your $10 back.

I believe that the ref in Saturday's BC-Niagara game was Matt "Move it!" Shegos.

And, as I posted my allegiances a week ago, I did root for BC in Sunday's game. UNH was gone, so HE was next, I still remember the UNH loss to Michigan and Marty Turco in '98, "that song" was being drummed into my ears, and a BC win would have assured a HEA team in the FF championship game, so it really was no contest who I would root for.

And the game itself was absolutely terrific. I can understand your comments about not being able to enjoy it as your team was in the thick of it. The OT was just outstanding with an intensity level that I can only describe as ferocious, the most intense I've ever seen in person. Two top notch teams just absolutely hammering each other up and down the ice with everything they've got, and the crowd going crazy. College ice hockey at its best. Both teams left it all on the ice, and can be proud of their accomplishments.

Attendance was 10,104 the first day and about 8000+ the second day. The Arena lists its capacity as 10,019 for hockey games.

BTW, I read someplace that Ben Eaves injury was dehydration cramps, so he should be all set for the Fleet Center.

And last, if anyone has an extra ticket for the Frozen Four, please contact me off-list at
