Never said it came down to coaches on game nights, although I will have to
tell you that when Walsh switched goalies (Dunham for Snow) at the start of
the third period in the NCAA final in 1993 it was the turning point in the
game. What I WAS referring to was the thread on both Hockey-L and USCHO
Message Board that the past weekend's series would be a push and pull
between home ice for UNH and the coaching of Walsh vs. Umile. My point is,
Umile never gets his do, he has definitely matured as a coach over the
years and his preparation for this past weekend's series speaks for itself.

Since UNH IS playing Merrimack, I betcha Umile is showing the same tape. I
wholeheartedly agree, it is practices where the coaching staff makes the
difference. Perhaps that's why Maine was outscored 10-2.

Neither Morrison or Drury were having the kind of year that Krog is this
year. There was a lot negativity about both based on the factual data
alone. This year, while there are lot of people who are tired of hearing
about him, I don't think there is much arguement that, at least
statistically, Krog is having a phenomenal year. Given the expectations
for his team, the fact that he was the only proven scorer returning and
that he would be a marked man all season, was he has done is outstanding.
He is the whole package, believe me.
