The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for February 5, 1992:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
A copule of ECAC teams are headed in opposite directions in the HOCKEY-L
poll. Clarkson has been in free fall mode since December, reflecting their
slumping play over that period. In the December 19th poll, the last one of
1991, the Golden Knights were ranked third; this week, they come in at #15.
Conversely, Harvard came back from their three-week layoff with three wins
in four days, and the Crimson jumped six spots in the poll.

An astonishing *four* media polls were available this week -- thanks to
Keith Instone for posting them (note: The Cornell Daily Sun's poll was a
poll of sports editors of various college newspapers, and I haven't seen one
published this year). I almost hope there aren't any more, since I had a
heck of a time squeezing 'em all into the composite chart. Anyway, here
they are. The NCAA poll is a Top 15 poll, while the others are all Top 10.
The rankings in parentheses for the College Hockey USA and Albany Times-
Union rankings indicate where these teams would have been in the Top 15 for
those polls, based on the points listed under "Others receiving votes".

I'm not sure what's going to happen with next week's HOCKEY-L poll, as I
will be in Boston for the entire week. Hopefully, I'll have some way of
telnetting into my account here and collecting the responses, but we'll see
how it goes.
