Wow! What a terrific final! Congratulations to Michigan and Boston College on
great tournament runs. Of course it's a shame that someone had to loose.
Especially BC, so long after their last championship in 1949.

I thought BC dominated the first period and got away with a goal that Turco
thought was an easy one. Physically, BC really took it to Michigan, hitting
anything that moved. BC's defense really played well. Michigan fought back in
the second and seemed to take the advantage. In the third period and overtime
I gave the edge to BC but Turco made some great saves and Michigan stayed in
it. Turco makes it look so easy, doesn't he! I thought Clemmenson had a great
game as well.

Some other thoughts from home:

ESPN Commentators:
After a slow start Thursday and a few minor slip ups (again with the
Bubinzwieg) I was really impressed by Levy and Engblom. You could hear the
enthusiasm in Levy's voice grow throughout the game. By overtime I don't think
there was a more vocal advocate for the game of college hockey. Well done
guys! I was also impressed that ESPN stayed on for the trophy presentation.
Class.

Deja vu all over again:
Okay, I'll say it. Does "Sometimes the best team doesn't always win" mean
anything this year?

Looking forward to reading everyone else's impressions.
