I tell ya, you see the darndest things at the mall these days.
I went into our local sporting goods store looking for some
"tasteful" sharks appearal (like there is any) and what do
my wandering eyes happen upon...  CCM replica Hockey East
Jerseys.  They had BU, and Maine, and BC, and they were only
$18.
This really caught me off-guard, I mean -- central Pa isn't
exactly a Hockey East hotbed, hell its not a hockey anything
hotbed.  The two biggest attractions at the mall for these
people are the shop-smith mark V and bright shiny objects.
 
So if anyone wants me to pick you up a jersey, drop me a note
and we can work something out.  Sizes are limited however,
when I got there they only had s/m with one l/xl (which I
bought... guess this makes me a stark-raving-BU fan now :-) )
 
OB Hockey:
Penn State lost both their games this weekend at the Eleventh
Annual Best-Western/Pepsi Nitanny Lion Invitational.  The first
to Ohio University in OT; and the second to Eastern Michigan
in the consolation game (they're still the Hurons in my book).
 
Eastern Michigan lost to URI in the first round, and URI defeated
OU in the championship game, which was marred by 11 game DQ's
at the end of the third period, due to some sore-headed OU players
starting an all out free for all at the buzzer.
 
I'd post scores, but I seemed to have scrambled my brains this
weekend playing broom-ball (damn those boards hurt head on).
E-mail me this week if anyone is interested in the tourny, I should
be feeling much better then...
