I had a nice summary of the game written, but my computer ate it, so
I'll just re-write a quick one.
 
Northeastern beat Maine 4-3 in HE action tonight. This was the same
score that Maine beat NU by over Thanksgiving. NU played GREAT defense,
and Freshman goalie Todd Reynolds played outstanding. Actually, NU
played a number of Freshman that usually don't play. Jason Kelly from
Salem, NH (Avon Old Farms, CT), Craig Carmody from West Haven, CT (Avon
Old Farms, CT) and Francois Bouchard from Brossard, QUE (Hawksbury) were
the big ones that played.
 
Northeastern scored first, and never trailed. The score went as follows:
(NU-Maine) 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 4-2, 4-3.
 
One of the goals came at 20:00 of the second period. Maine coach Walsh
put up a little fight, but didn't really have a case to have it
disallowed. I asked the official timekeeper during intermission about
the clocks/lights. He said that they WERE connected, and that the lights
couldn't light if the buzzer had sounded. The goal light did come on, so
I must say that it was a goal. BTW, there was no faceoff after the play.
