I thought some people might like to see again last year's final TCHCR. The
national champion, Northern Michigan, finished first. The runner-up, BU,
finished second. One semifinal loser, Maine, finished third, and the other,
Clarkson, finished sixth.

I've added a column to the right with the tourney seeds. Note that 10 of
the 12 seeds were ranked 1-10 in TCHCR, and the other two were ranked 13th
and 22nd.

An important point to make in response to Craig's mail is that yes, most
of us including Keith and myself believe that the decreased number of
nonconference games this season has had a negative effect on the graph's
connectivity, thus TCHCR may not be as "accurate" as it appeared to be
last season. To what extent, I don't know, and I am waiting to see Keith's
notes that contain a comparison. But Mr Croce never made mention of this
even once in either of his articles. There is ample info out there with
which TCHCR can be criticized, and anyone who has looked into it enough knows
this. Yet Mr Croce's columns contained none of this; rather, his attacks
were based on nonfactual information and apparent personal grievances.
That is the problem I have with his two columns.

By the way, let's please stop the Bob-bashing on the list. Criticize his
articles, but don't attack the man. No need to stoop to his level. He gave
us enough to criticize in his two columns, so let's stick with that. If
you want to write him and call him nasty names, go ahead, but let's keep
the profile and respectability of HOCKEY-L high as it has always been.
