I have seen the hit three times now, once at the game and on the
news twice, and from what I saw it was just an aggressive play by
Guite(a freshman) in an effort to get his team moving. I have seem much
bigger hits from behind that looked like there was an intent to injure.
The only thing that I will say is that Mowers was against the boards for
about half a minute before Guite came charging in and he did have plenty
of time to stop. I would agree with Chris H about it being the scariest
thing that I have every seen in person at a hockey game. I also pretty
much lost my appetite for the game and really did not care about the
score or the outcome. It was amazing how quiet the area was for that 15
minutes.... I would have to say that for me the proudest thing about
the game is that UNH did nothing to retaliate, except score, and it was
a remarkable clean game after the incident.

[Danish, Christian] I think Maine looked very flat, not a lot
of jump in there skating. I saw a lot of individual efforts and not a
lot of TEAM from them. I did not think that Maine would be a good as
people have stated in the beginning of the year because of there youth
and goaltending and I think both let them down on Saturday night, but
they will be a force when they start to mature. I would also give UNH a
lot of credit for playing there game and talking it to Maine. I am
looking forward to them playing 3 more times this year. Beckar and Krog
were unstoppable all night. Can we please start to here some mention of
Krog in the national picture? This guy is probably the most underrated
offensive and defensive player in the country and he deserves to be at
least nominated for the Hobey.

[Danish, Christian] I think that overall UNH's defense is
playing a lot better. The addition of Lind and White along with better
play from Bragnalo has made this team a lot better defensively. Matile
is a great goalie when he faces a constant stream of shots and is
involved in handling the puck. This year he has been a very good at
handling the puck and providing assistance to his defensemen. He still
seems to lack focus because he becomes distracted or board if he is not
involved in the game. He had a pretty good shot at shutouts both nights
beach both goals on Friday were not quality chances. If he stays at UNH
next year and progresses he will be one of the best goalies in the
nation.

[Danish, Christian] He was given a 5 minute major and a game
misconduct. Unless something else happens I don't think that he will
get any additional suspensions. I'm not sure I have every seen anything
like this happen? I assume that UNH would have to petition to league
office with a tape of the incident and there reasoning. Has this ever
happened?
