Terrier fans can give a sigh of relief because Chris Drury has
decided to stay at BU for his senior season. As reported in the
Boston Herald today, he has rejected the Colorado Avalanche's
offer and will remain in Boston next year. The herald also reported that
defenseman Chris Kelleher has also opted to stay at BU. With these two
coming back, the Terriers should definitely be a favorite to win Hockey East
as well as compete for the national title. It is refreshing to see a
college player
turn down the big bucks to remain in school and actually earn a degree.
Drury cited this as one of the reasons he is staying, as well as
playing with his
teammates and Jack Parker for one more year. It will also give him a chance
to become BU's all time leading goal scorer. The record is 98 shared by John
Cullen, and Bob Marquis(Drury has 85 coming into this year).

GO BU!
