The players may have been "25-year-olds" in Canadian hockey terms, even
though they have turned 26. The CHA determines one's age by only their
year of birth. That means that anyone born in 1971 counts as a 25-year-
old this season, even if they turned 26 before the end of the season.

This fact also gives us the sure sign that someone hangs around in hockey
rinks too much - they think of their age by only their year of birth.
