Well, this past weekend...the Gophers played at CC at 7:30 Friday night
and at 2:00pm on Saturday. Same difference, except that the 4th/5th winner
has to play three games in three days.

One of the Gophers who was interviewed during the game on Saturday was
asked how the evening-afternoon scheduling affects the team vs. the
evening-evening "usual" scheduling. THe reply was something like,
well, he didn't mind it, in fact he liked it as if it was an evening-
evening schedule all they would do is sit around all afternoon and
he'd rather get the game over with!

As I recall, last year in Madison when the Gophers played the Badgers in
the afternoon game the attendance was poor or only good...and I think
that the WCHA is just looking after itself here. ($$$-wise)
Not everyone can take an afternoon off to attend a hockey game.
