Larry makes an excellent point in basically saying that the profit-sharing
works both ways. In schools with a big time football and/or hoops program
the whole school benefits (monetarily) from the football/hoops money; the
same goes for the few schools with big time hockey.

HOWEVER, many schools in Division I, ice hockey is the only Division I sport
and others are in other divisions. They are not classified as a Division I
school by the NCAA so their Division I program is basically screwed by the
@#$%; while other schools who don't play hockey benefit from a sport that they
don't even play. We shouldn
t benefit from Oklahoma's football program (because Clarkson doesn't have one)
and Oklahoma shouldn't benefit from Clarkson's hockey program for the same
reason. Every Division I program, not school, should be represented in the
NC$%. Those schools with more than one Div I program could send one person to
represent all the programs or one person for each program but only the
schools who play a sport should have an impact on NC** rules governing the
sport as a whole. Any regulations that govern college athletics as a whole
should be voted on by everyone.

No school should have any more representation than any other provided that they
				/|\
			     (in a certain sport)
both have a program in that sport at the same level (division I, II, etc.).

I wouldn't encourage immediate secession from the NC^&. We should try to
encourage reform from within. But if our cries fall upon deaf ears, then
we shouldnt hesitate to consider further action.

There is my two-cents worth (if that's the case then Im probably up to
a dollar fifty for the day).
