Notre Dame was a member of the WCHA through the 1980/81 season.  After that
season Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, and Michigan Tech left the WCHA.
The three Michigan schools joined the CCHA, but I'm not sure if Notre Dame did
before dropping hockey as a varsity sport.  Michigan Tech eventually returned
to the WCHA, bringing Northern Michigan along with them.
