I got the "poop" on the Alaskas joining the CCHA. Some background: the Alaska
 ADs
were in Detroit for a Commissioners meeting with the top dogs in the 4 leagues.
 
The "verbal committment" merely means that the ADs from the Alaskas said to
 Bill:
"Hey, we want to join the CCHA." That's all that happened! This isn't even very
big news because they have said it before. They have been saying they want in
 ANY
league ever since the Great West folded (back in 86?). It was reported in the
local BG paper that the Alaskas will also be making a verbal committment to
join the WCHA.
