HOCKEY-D is an edited digest of HOCKEY-L, The College Hockey Discussion
List.  HOCKEY-L is for the discussion of collegiate ice hockey,
including scores, team info, schedules, etc.  allowing fans to become
more involved and knowledgeable about the game.
 
This list is simply a mechanism to cut down on junk mail clutter.  On a
periodic basis (every day to every week or so, depending on activity),
HOCKEY-L postings will be collected and distributed, as a single mail
file, to subscribers of HOCKEY-D.  Trivial postings and postings of an
administrative nature will be omitted.  The owner reserves the right to
include or omit any posting from HOCKEY-D, but the intention is to
provide a mechanism for ease of reading, rather than one of completeness
or participation.

Mailings from HOCKEY-D will generally be quite large.  You should expect
the size of each posting to be 500-1500 lines.  Mailings from HOCKEY-D
will loosely conform to RFC1153, a standard for digests.
 
Subscriptions to HOCKEY-D may be made in the usual manner by sending
mail to the list owner ([log in to unmask] for internet or WTS@MAINE
for Bitnet/CREN) or directly to [log in to unmask]
 
In the body of the mail, enter:
 
    SUBSCRIBE HOCKEY-D your full name
