I must admit that I am going on hearsay evidence from people who supposedly
know how the voting went.  I once again ask: Can you find a reasonable
reason why LP should be favored over Albany other than anti-RPI feelings?
If Ned Harkness did "agressive  marketing" to have it in Tuscon, AZ would
the ECAC follow?  Perhaps if Uncle Ned offered enough perks they would <g>.
Seriously, though, all one has to do is use common sense to see that LP
is NOT the best place for this.  Albany is not the ONLY good site; Worcester,
Providence, Boston and the like on a rotating schedule might make sense.
I doubt that Albany's Knickerbocker Arena would want to commit themselves
to the ECAC on a longterm basis anyway if they know that the NCAA will be
coming back for more on an intermittent basis.
