                     CINCINNATI TO HOST 1996 NCAA FINAL FOUR
 
Miami University and the Riverfront Coliseum will be the hosts for the 1996
NCAA Final Four (March 28th and 30th).  The decision was made by the NCAA
Division I Hockey Committee.  Riverfront Coliseum seats 16,000 for hockey.
 
Next year's Final Four will be in Albany, NY (April 2-4), followed by
Milwaukee (1993), St. Paul (1994), and Providence (1995).
 
 
           DETROIT'S JOE LOUIS ARENA TO HOST 1992 NCAA WEST REGIONALS
 
The NCAA Hockey Committee has announced the selections of Detroit and
Providence to host the 1992 NCAA West and East regionals, respectively.  East
regionals will be held on Thursday and Saturday, March 26th and 28th, while
the West regionals will take place on Friday and Sunday, March 27th and 29th.
 
 
             TWO CCHA OFFICIATING CREWS WORKED PRE-CANADA CUP GAMES
 
The 1991 United States Canada Cup team played three pre-tournament games
against Canada in the United States.  Officiating the first game on August
19th in Pittsburgh was Brent Rutherford (Mt. Clemens, MI), Kevin Mallin
(Shaker Heights, OH) and John Edwards (Kettering, OH).  Two days later in
Detroit a CCHA crew of Steve Piotrowski (Troy, MI), Roger Graff (Garden City,
MI) and Kevin Hall (Livonia, MI) officiated the game.
 
 
                     FOUR CCHA PLAYERS ON CANADA CUP ROSTERS
 
Three former CCHA players are on Team USA's roster while another former CCHA
player is on Team Canada's roster for the Canada Cup series (August 31 -
September 18) featuring the best players from six hockey-playing nations.
 
Representing Team USA are two former Spartan forwards in Kevin Miller (Detroit
Red Wings) and Danton Cole (Winnipeg Jets) and New York Islander defenseman
Jeff Norton, who played collegiately at Michigan.  Calgary Flame blueliner
Jamie Macoun is playing for Team Canada.  Macoun played collegiately at Ohio
State.
