Truth is, I've been trying to figure that out all season. Of course, they
have not played all that well at home, except for that 9-1 drubbing of RPI,
so I have not seen them in their finest form (at Orono, ME that fine night
in December).
 
I do know that Princeton's success has relied primarily on excellent team
defense (with goalie Konte as the backbone) and more effective special
teams. Top quality freshmen Casson Masters and Matt Brush have helped the
offense significantly.
 
In any case, we're real happy here that the team has come around the way it
has -- this will be Princeton's first winning season in 25 years and the
first season in which they win 14 games or more since 1931. Not exactly a
winning tradition. But right now, a top four finish is clearly a good
possibility-- reminding us of the days of Hobey Baker?
