BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Senior center Brian Holzinger, the CCHA's
leading scorer, has a point in 16 of BG's 18 games and has 14 points (nine
goals, five assists) in the last five games.  Kelly Perrault, a sophomore
blueliner, has a point in 13 of 17 games including the last four games.
 
FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY -- The Bulldogs tied a school record (vs. Division I
opponents) with five power play goals in their 8-6 loss at North Dakota on
December 18.  Their previous five power play goal games resulted in victories
over Notre Dame (10-3/1-11-94) and Lake Superior (7-3/2-1-86).
 
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO -- Seniors Mark Zdan (left wing) and Shannon
Finn (defenseman) were both named to the all-tournament team for the Auld Lang
Syne Classic in Hanover, New Hampshire (hosted by Dartmouth).
 
LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY -- Sean Tallaire (forward) and Sean Kulick
(goalie) were named to the all-tournament team for the Badger Showdown.  On
Monday (1/9), the legendary Bruce Martyn, voice of the Detroit Red Wings,
returns to the microphone in his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to
broadcast the Lakers and MSU Spartans game on WSUE radio.
 
MIAMI UNIVERSITY -- Freshman defenseman Dan Boyle was named to the all-
tournament team for the RPI Invitational.  Boyle has a point in five of his
last six games scoring three goals and three assists for six points and is
currently tied-for-sixth on the Miami scoring chart with 10 points on four
goals and six assists.
 
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN -- Wolverine mentor Red Berenson recorded his 250th
collegiate coaching victory with Friday's win over Michigan State in the Great
Lakes Invitational championship game.  Berenson becomes the 41st NCAA Division
I hockey coach to reach the 250-career win plateau.
 
MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Senior center Steve Suk has eight points (one
goal, seven assists) in his last three games with a plus/minus rating of +7.
Suk has a point in 14 of MSU's 19 games with seven multiple-point games.  He
has only been minus (+/-) for two games this year.
 
UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME -- Sophomore right wing Tim Harberts currently has a
three-game assist streak and has five points in the last three games on two
goals and three assists.  He also was assessed his first penalty of the season
(hitting ATW) in Saturday's overtime loss at Mass.-Amherst.
 
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY -- Senior right wing Sacha Guilbault missed the first
nine games of the season due to an injury, but in the eight games he has played
he has one goal (on a power play) and five assists for six points and is +1.
The Buckeyes are 2-4-2 since Guilbault returned to the lineup.
 
WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY -- Junior center Jeremy Brown has a point in eight
of the last nine games scoring seven goals and two assists for nine points with
three power play goals, two shorthanded markers and a game-winner.  He has only
been held off the scoresheet in four of 19 games this season.
 
UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS -- Senior right wing Corey Spring has a four-
game point- streak and a three-game goal-streak heading into the Nanooks' next
game (Jan. 13-14 at Air Force).
 
CCHA - DID YOU KNOW? -- That Ohio State Head Coach Jerry Welsh was named to the
CCHA All- Tournament team in the first year of the CCHA (1972) and OSU
assistant coach Bill McKenzie was the tournament most valuable player.
 
When Canada's National Team visits Lake Superior and Michigan this weekend,
there will be a familiar face on the opposing team.  Former Michigan State
Spartan Michael Burkett is one of 14 forwards currently on Team Canada's roster.
