Colgate's Head coach Slater spent some time of his summer vacation coaching
the Italian National team.  At the end of last season, he had been offered a
position as head coach for the Italian team, which was turned down.  He did
go to Italy for a while this summer to work with the players on the team.
He was impressed with the potential of several players and said that the team
will be up and coming in international play in two years or so.  Supposedly
he put the players through some nasty work-outs, and quickly informed a player
of a mistake.
 
(I hope that this is only posted once.  I've seen several double postings
