As a newly promoted Level 2 USA Hockey Offical (that means
I have been doing it for a year, folks), I have learned a
        few guidelines along the way:

        1. If both teams are upset with you , either you called a
really bad game, or you called a really good game and
neither team was happy about it.

        2. Officials should be happy to call a good game and let
that stand on its own merits. It will be noticed by those
        who know what is good.

        3. If you make a call, stick to it. If it was a bad call,
or a call that could have been made differently, learn from
        it and go on.

        Just my $0.02

        Karl
