I've got a question/problem that I'm hoping somebody here might be
able help me with.  I'm a season ticket holder here at Michigan Tech
(4th year) and at laast Friday's game against NMU something happened
that really bothered me.  During the first intermission the students
in front of me were warned by public safety not to beaat on the glass.
If they did, they would be removed from the game and their season tickets
would be removed.  I guess that before every game we here an announcement
that basically states that the University has a good-sportsmanship policy
and that the fans shoould refrain from hitting the glass, yelling at the
plaayers and ref's, are not to stand on their seats, etc.  I even saw a
paper posted on the only enterence to the arena that isn't used for games
that had these warnings.  My question is are we the only univeersity that
has this B.S. policy?  Is this some kind of NCAA ploy to take fans out of
the game?  Or are our liberal University heads so stuck on themselves that
they won't let the student body have fun away froom classes?  Hopefully
Bob G., Walter O., or D. Fisher can help me out on this one.
 
        I even heard from somebody over the weekend that they were
"escorted" from the stadium during the Denver series and were told to
turn in their season tickets or the seats would be removed from the arena.
These guys told me they might even sue the university.  (I guess they asked
to see the arena bylaws and were refused the right to see them.)
