The Portland Pirates must be happy with how well Jim Carey has played
because they've just loaned Byron Dafoe, the Pirates' head goalie to
Phoenix of the IHL for the next month.  Carey should get lots of ice time
while Dafoe is gone.
 
I know it's not much consolation to University of Wisconsin fans who
would like to have Carey back, but he's had a good start to his
professional career.
