     Maybe this will clear up some of the discussion.  All of the following
     facts were gathered from very reliable sources.
     UW does not have exclusive rights to the Bud song.  Apparently,
     Anheiser-Bucsh doesn't even ownt the song.  The original writer does.
     The UW band started playing it in 1973 at hockey games and it became
     nationally popular after they played it at the finals that UW won that
     year.  Because of the popularity the band brought to the song and to
     A-B, A-B sponsored the band and had them appear in a Budweiser
     commercial in '81 or '82.
     Even though this info shows that it isn't "our" song, we started the
     ball, (excuse me, barrel), rolling.
