Apologies if this has been posted already -- I haven't seen anything from
HOCKEY-L in a couple of days...
 
The ECAC has announced that Lake Placid has won a two-year extension on
their contract to host the ECAC "post-season ice hockey championship"
(the semis, consolation, and championship game).  This means that the ECAC
Phinal Phour will be held at Lake Placid at least through 1997.
 
The only other candidate mentioned in the article as a possibility to
host the ECACs was Albany.

From ESPN this morning:  A poll showed that 47% of those surveyed blame
the players for the upcoming baseball strike, 37% blame the owners, and
2% blame the fans.  THE FANS?!?
