I looked over Maine's record (in file '9394TSCH MAINE') and the
current Hockey East standings (in file '9394CONF STAND') in light of
the latest installment of the Maine follies. Assuming that Tardif played
in every game and assuming that he had too few credits last semester
as well as this one (that hasn't been made explicit in the posts I've
seen), I tried to construct what the HE standings would be if Maine
forfeits all games.

* Providence's record and points are unchanged because they already
got their forfeits in the last round.

What struck me in this is that very little changes. The top three are
the same. UNH and PC trade places (but PC had previously "lucked out"
by those 3 early games with Maine.) Merrimack pulls ahead of BC, but
they still have to play Maine twice while BC plays them once more.
The big loser is Maine, dropping from 6 to 8.

Is there a file available with information about the playoff set-ups,
seeding, home-ice, etc, for each conference? In HE is it just top
four at home 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, and 4-5? Also what is the format?
Thanks in advance for any info on this,
