That's what happens when the first-place team in one conference loses
to the last-place team in another. Even though Clarkson hasn't played
Harvard yet, CU is closely connected to HU because 4 of CU's opponents
have played HU already.
 
Fortunately for Clarkson, they are also kind of close to Duluth (CU->
SLU->UMD), so their fall was buffeted a bit. It could have been worse.
 
And the fact that it is still early, before the holiday tourneys, means
that teams can jump around quite a bit from week to week.
