Clarkson finished off a season sweep of their archrival St Lawrence
Saints with a 4-1 win over SLU in Potsdam's Cheel Arena.

Clarkson scored on a powerplay goal only :47 into the game when Patrice
Robitaille took a centering pass from Todd marchant and blasted it by
SLU goalie Brady Giroux. With about 10 minutes left, Clarkson scored on
another powerplay goal when Steve Dubinsky deflected a point shot over
Giroux. Clarkson scored on its first two powerplays but failed on its
final eight. Then Burke Murphy tallied his 12th of the year for SLU
making it 2-1 halfway through the 2nd but 5 minutes later, Robitaille
scored to make it 3-1. Finally Marko Tuomainen scored his 12th of
the year to seal the 4-1 win.

Clarkson's offense might not have been as sharp as in last week's rout
in Canton but their offense was just as solid allowing only one goal.
Clarkson's penalty killers killed off 10 of 11 powerplays including over
2 minutes of 5 on 3 time.

Chris Rogles made 22 of 23 saves while SLU's Giroux made 35 of 38.

MY THREE STARS: 1) Rogles, CU 2) Robitaille, CU 3) Giroux, SLU

AFTERMATH
Once again, Clarkson did a great job containing SLU's forwards and
not allowing tons of chances on rogles. Most of SLU's shots came on
their 11 power plays. SLU loses its 4th of its last 5 and tumbles to
10-8-2 (5-6-1 ECAC) while Clarkson surges to 8-8-4 (4-5-3).

KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT NEXT TIME, GREG
In a national hockey magazine, SLU captain Greg Carvel said of Clarkson,
"They have too many chiefs and not enough indians." (be Politically
correct next time, anyways :) Needless to say, this quote made it into
the Knights' lockerroom and must have certainly help CU fire themselves
up for the whiping they gave Mr Carvel. Perhaps Carvel should take a look
at SLU's sputtering offense and porous defense. If nothing else, let
me say (maturely, of course), "HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA"
