After squashing (6-1) the Nanooks of Alaska-Fairbanks at the Carlson Center in
Fairbanks last night, the University of Alaska-Anchorage returned home to
Anchorage while the Nanooks followed for the Saturday night game of this home
and home series.

The Seawolves set the pace for the first two periods of the game when Jeff
Batters fired the puck from the top of the right circle to beat Henderson 34
seconds into the game. Less then ten minutes later, Keith Morris slapped one
of his specialties from between the circles. I don't know who's is harder, but
I think that Batters and Morris have the two hardest slap shots on the team.

Mr. Otto Breitenbach, WCHA Commissioner was in attendance at the game, and when
asked between the second and third period one word to describe the Seawolve
program/facilities/town/etc, he said "First Class."

Dean Larson (senior), who, if I may use the term, does EXCEPTIONALLY well at
"screwing up the opponent's offense" is also quite the playmaker. Tonight,
Larson broke former Seawolf Dennis Sorenson's record for all time assists
(127), and he still has 10 regular season games to play in this year!

The Seawolves also broke their old home attendance record with 100,033 fans so
far this year and six home games remaining. On an interesting note, of 17 home
games this year, 9 have been standing room only sellouts of 6,421.

Shawn Ulrich scored UAF's 13th short handed goal this year when he went 1-0
with Paul Krake.
