Bob Norton did the interview, and I fear he may have planted a bug in the
commish's ear.  Norton made an off-hand comment, something like "now, if you
can just get a Thursday night double-header [in Lake Placid], we'd all be
happy."  Well, the only way I know of to do that would be to have all twelve
teams make the playoffs, thus creating a Final Six... presto, two preliminary
games Thursday night rather than one.
 
Remember, if this actually happens, it's Bob Norton's fault, not mine.
 
I don't recall if Fanter actually said that *every* team was fighting for
something on the season's last weekend... if he did, he was mistaken, as Union
had already been guaranteed a 12th-place finish.
