   No, they had to eliminate the JV a few years ago.  NCAA reforms I
think (or was it gender equity?).  I think against Mankato they dressed
three goalies and *still* didn't have 20 players.
 
I have a name for this season that Gopher fans will appreciate;
"A Nightmare on Oak Street".
 
Comments: For years the Woog bashers have said that being consistently
good doesn't matter - only winning a national title now and then
matters.  Do they still think that?  How come no one in these parts is
calling for Clem's head? Aren't the Gophers 0-6 in the Big Ten?  Somehow
that's different ... or is it?
 
If *one* bad season and no National Title is "proof" of poor
recruiting/coaching, what other college hockey coaches should be fired?
Say for example that Lucia has a sub 500 year before he wins a National
Title - should he be fired?
 
I think there's nothing like a little failure to shed light on how good
things really have been.
