Was looking for something else and just noticed on the WCHA web site
that Mankato State has been extended an invitation into the WCHA
playoffs for the 1997-98 season.  They will be seeded 10th and play the
#1 team "unless the WCHA Tournament Committee determines that a more
appropriate seeding is called for."
 
Congratulations to the Mavericks on the good news.  You've taken the
second big step.
