One item not mentioned in the extensive (psycho)analysis of Reusse,
respondants and MN residents and hockey fans is the fact that MN saves a ton
of money (OK, in excess of $100,000) by not paying out-of-state(country)
tuition on their hockey scholarships. This is money that can go elsewhere to
help make MN one of the best hockey programs (and facility) in the country.

Personally, I think it is great that they can do it with only MN kids and look
forward to the day when my alma mater (UMass) has the pick of the MA players
and fields a MA only team. Then, we'll really be able to answer the question
of which state produces the best players - Oh, I guess it would help if they
played each other - wouldn't it? (and then there is the ? of the state of MI
and who is in 4th place?)

It's been said that no one can really motivate anyone else; all
you can do is instill a positive attitude and hope it catches
on.(76 y.o. Grambling Univ football coach, Eddie Robinson, who
won his 400th game on 10/7/95 - in his 53rd year of coaching)
