No box today (in-laws are in town), but I have some notes.

Alaska-Fairbanks went up 4-0 in the first. The BG defense was horrible
and the Nanooks have the offensive firepower to take advantage of it.
The Falcons did finally show up at the end of the first and managed a
goal to be down by three after one.

BG was better in the second. They scored a PPG to make it 4-2 and had
another power play immediately after, but couldn't make cut the lead to
one. At the end of the second, BG fell asleep again and UAF scored 2
quickies. 6-2 after two and the game is pretty much over.

But the Falcons certainly did not give up. Brian Holzinger was on fire
and easily could have tied the game up himself if it weren't for the
heroics of UAF goalie Larry Moberg. Zinger set up Jason Clarke on a
great pass and then got a shorthander to make it 6-4. But too many
stupid penalties and a failure to convert on a 5-on-3 kept BG from
tying it up.

D Don Lester had 2 goals for UAF. Dean Fedorchuk looked great, as usual.

Same two teams again tonight.

Keith
