What does this mighty ducks thing have to do with college hockey?

Well, on the surface, nothing. BUT, there is an underlying correlation.

Many college hockey fans wonder what we have to do to get more exposure.
Neither CNN nor ESPN will even read off the scores (although they do
in depth reporting on the over-90 rookie golf classic from Rutabagga, FL but
that's another gripe).

The question is: what can we do to get more exposure? My response is:
do we really want more exposure? I submit, perhaps no.

Look at how much television controls college basketball, football
and the pro sports. The college sports are utterly controlled by
television. If tv gets any influence in college hockey, we're
going to get a 32 team tournament. I like college hockey the way
it is. I don't want tv coming in and turning it into ajoke nor do
I want the NC$$ to pander to tv and make idiotic changes to turn it
into a circus like the NHL is trying to do to itself.

Right now, college hockey is big in the areas where the schools are but
not nationwide. TV doesn't control it. Notice you don't see 10 hockey
programs a year going on probation. You rarely see hockey programs being
investigated for recruiting violations, point shaving, etc. I'm not saying
they're all squeaky clean but compared to football and basketball...

Any thoughts
