An item in this morning's Lansing State Journal:
 
The CCHA has rescinded the 10-minute misconduct following minors for
checking from behind and roughing after the whistle after the commissioner
received a letter from the "NCAA Hockey Committee" saying the league
couldn't change the rules.
 
I assume this just means that the 10 minute is not automatic, but that it
could still be assessed by the referee.
 
By the by, at Kalamazoo, Western Michigan beat Michigan State 3-2.  They'll
play tonight in East Lansing.
