Clarkson rode a great effort by goalie Chris Rogles and finished off
a sweep of their ECAC quarterfinal series over St lawrence with a
5-3 win in Potsdam.

SLU started off midway through the first as it scored the only goal
of the period.

Steve Palmer scored midway through the second to make it 1-1. Shortly
thereafter, Guy Sanderson scored a PPG on a blast from the point
making it 2-1 Clarkson. On a 3 on 1 rush, someone dropped it to
Craig Conroy and one slap shot later it was 3-1 Clarkson. In the third
period, Steve Palmer made it 4-1 Clarkson but Gerard Verbeek scored
for St Lawrence to make it 4-2. Clarkson made it 5-2 but SLU, not
about to die easily, scored again to make it 5-3. There was no more
scoring as SLU was able to pull its goalie with about 2:30 left but
had to put him back in after an icing call. It was never able to get
him off the ice again.

Clarkson goalie Chris Rogles was sensational in nets for Clarkson making
35 saves including 14 in the first period. SLU yanked Brady Giroux after
giving up 3 goals on 10 shots. Paul Spagnoletti replaced Giroux and gave
up 2 goals on ~14 shots. (disclaimer: shot totals and goal scorers are
unofficial).

Clarkson advances to Lake Placid to face the Brown/Yale winner
or RPI.

Harvard was routing Princeton, 6-0, in the third.
RPI was up 5-2 on Colgate in the third.
