> However, the officiating of the game was BRUTAL. 19 penalties in two period
s,two matching minors in the third!!! Inconsistent??????

Do I detect the aroma of SOUR grapes? Lte's remember: this is a *GAME*.
Officials are human. They make mistakes sometimes. Generally, however, these
mistakes tend to balance themselves out over the course of the game. That can
only be detected by a totally impartial observer (neither you nor I). The
winning team must play to overcome *ALL* adversities that persent themselves
during the course of the *GAME*. That includes, of course, "BAD calls".

> BAM!! 10-Minute Misconduct!! ... But that scene should *NEVER* have taken
place.

I agree *TOTALLY*. JY should not have "tapped on the glass and muttered some
thing in French". That sounds to me like unsportsmanlike conduct. Remember, this
 is a *GAME*.

> Between periods,I rewound the tape and watched the plays I had taped.

How closely did you watch the play around the Spartan goal for uncalled
infractions by the Black Bears? For that matter, how many uncalled infractions
by the Black Bears did you note anywhere or anytime on the ice. In the interest
of demonstrating how bad the officiating was, why don't you give us a few
examples of "BAD calls" that went in favor of the Black Bears? That really
would lend some credibility to your judgement on the officiating.

This is a *GAME*. This much is clear: the team that won was the team that won.
Deciding which team is the "better" team is not nearly so easy.

A Spartan Fan

BTW:

That anonymous Spartan fan with the "one man band" is "goofus." He's a former
MSU cheerleader from Negaunee, Michigan. His last name is either Amosmaki, or
Maki. I think his first name is Allan. I could have his names confused with his
brother's, as well as incorrect spelling. That's because I've always known him
 as "goofus".
