I would bet this has happened a number of times, particularly in tournaments.
RPI did it to win the 1985 NC$$ Championship.  They beat Minnesota-Duluth in
triple overtime, 6-5, on a Friday night/Saturday morning, got back to the hotel
in Detroit at 2 am, survived a rampage of Providence fans running through
the halls at 4 am banging on their doors, and beat the Friars 2-1 Saturday
night to win the championship.
