It's late but what dedication, I'm going to make sure I send this out and
let others more familiar with the teams fill in details. Then, wow, I get
two weeks off before Providence! :-)

First, from WMPL again, Western scores.

CCHA
All winners swept their series, 2-0.
 Michigan 9, Ohio State 4
 Lake Superior 9, Illinois-Chicago 2
Michigan State 4, Ferris State 1
Miami 4, Western Michigan 3 (ot - WMU seems done for NC$$)
Semifinals at the Joe will be Mich-Mia, LSSU-MSU.

WCHA
Only NMU wins its series, 2-0. The other three go to a 3rd game Sunday night.
Northern Michigan 6, Michigan Tech 2
 Minnesota 9, North Dakota 2
 St Cloud 5, Wisconsin 3
 Minnesota-Duluth 4, Colorado College 3 (ot)
The CC-UMD 3ot game Friday was the 16th longest game ever.

ECAC
St Lawrence defeated Cornell, 4-2, to win the 31st ECAC Championship Game for
the fourth time in its history. It was the first championship game meeting
between the two longtime rivals.

The Saints played well though not spectacularly, understandable since they
were coming off a double ot win that ended just 16 and a half hours prior
to the faceoff of the championship game. Cornell again played a solid
defensive game for the most part, and Parris Duffus earned a spot on the
All-Tourney team although he looked shaky on SLU's third goal.

In the second, SLU LW Mike Allain suffered what looked to be a serious
injury when he was boarded by Cornell's Ryan Hughes. Allain had to be
carried off on a stretcher board which suggested that a neck or back injury
was feared, although he did move his legs and hands which was encouraging.
I believe he was taken to the hospital but no one knew later on in the evening
what his status was, so I would appreciate hearing how he is doing if anyone
knows. It didn't look like an attempt to injure.

All-Tourney team follows the box.
