Steve and Justin wrapped up Northern and MTU pretty well.

Steve if you thought some of the fans in your section were annoyed at
our band you should have heard the northern fans sitting behind me next
to the band! It was a fun time at NMU despite the score. Near the end
of the game some friendly ribbing was going on between some Northern
fans and the band. Things like:

Your hockey team stinks but your band is great.
                          and
We'll leave our band here and take You guys with us to the NCAA
                  finals.

By this time in the game it was 9-1.

At this point we would like to thank Hockey in general for changing the
playoffs from 2 game total goal series to best 2 of 3! We wipe the
slate clean and try to move this series to a sunday night final.

It's always fun to watch Tech and Northern in either building. Looking
forward to the trip back to Marquette tonight.

Other scores from the morning paper

North Dakota 5 Minn 3 (ouch Carol!)
Wisconsin 6 St Cloud 5 OT
CC over UMD in 3 ot's no score here but it was posted earlier

WE definalty have something to cheer about! In last nights class b-c-d
State high school hockey playoffs, A local High school team we are all
pulling for, The Calumet Copper Kings, Defeated Flint Powers 13-0 on
Friday the 13th to advance to this afternoons State Championship game
Versus Riverview Gabriel Richard. I'll have the game tuned in on the way
to Marquette till it fades out! ;-)

                            GO Copper Kings! Go Huskies!

                                   Bob
