Well, I've been waiting for something positive to happen for the
 Huskies before I posted a recap to the list.  However, highlights
 have been few and far between for the 90-91 NU Huskies.  Last night's
 6 - 4 loss to HE and cross town rival BC was typical of how the
 Huskies have been playing so far this season.
 
 BC came out flying and after the first period, they led 4 - 1.  The second
 period belonged to the Huskies.  NU outshot BC 14 - 6 in the second period
 and outscored them 2 - 1.  The Huskies looked like they might be breaking
 out of their shell in this period, out skating, out checking, and out
 hustling BC.  BC's only goal came just 2 seconds after a penalty to NU's
 Brian Sullivan had expired.  At the end of two the score was BC 5 - NU 3
 
 Whatever hope the second period brought for an NU turnaround, not only for the
 game, but for the season, was shattered by their play in the third.  NU came
 out
 as flat as the old tire in the back of your garage.  BC litterally shutdown the
 Northeastern offense, holding them without a shot on net until the 17:52 mark.
 That's right, NU could not even get a shot on net until there was a little over
 2 MINUTES left in the game.  By this point BC had scored their sixth goal of
 the
 night and the game was already over.  NU added the final goal with 45 seconds
 remaining to give us the 6 - 4 final.  BC outshot NU in the third 16 - 3.  In a
 period where NU needed to come out pumped up and try and mount a comeback
 against
 an HE rival, they fell flat on their faces.
 
 This is pretty much how their season has gone.  NU now posts an astonishing
 1-7-1
 overall record, 1-4-1 in HE.  If the Huskies don't turn things around quick,
 and I
 do mean quick, they may clinch 8th place in HE before Christmas.  Things don't
 get
 much easier for Northeastern.  They travel this weekend to Cornell, rated #1 in
 last
 weeks INSTONE College Hockey Computer Rating, and then next week to Boston
 University
 and Providence College, before returning home on Dec 4 to face UNH, the only
 team NU
 has mannaged to beat this season ( 2-1 ot).  The Huskies might very well be
 facing
 UNH as a 1-10-1 team, 1-6-1 in HE.
 
 Things don't look very good for the men from Saint Batolph St.  I for one,
 don't think
 this team is a 1-7-1 team, but at this point in the season they sure are
 playing like
 one.
