Greg makes an interesting point, why is Clarkson always "good" (until the
3rd week of March ;( )?  Other programs in other conferences are "good"
for a number of years but then have a fall off (BU & Minn appear to be in
that cycle this year), but Clarkson year after year is a home ice school
and, despite their post season failings, are one of those "national"
contenders (or are they?) each season.
 
As most of you know I am a Clarkson graduate (twice!), and our year after
year of playoff appearences is a source of pride.  I'd be curious on what
the rest of the world thinks on why certain programs are always "good"
and others "cycle".
 
Of course, I'd trade an ECAC 12th place finish one year for an NCAA title
:).
 
Gotta run, theirs a Mr. Applegate on the phone...
