Merrimack goalie Tom Welby (West Roxbury, Mass.) made a season high 43 saves
(one shy of a career high) as he stalled but couldn't defeat the highest
scoring offense in HockeyEast. BC got its two goals early and Merrimack got
one late with only 32 seconds to play as the Warriors had a sixth attacker
for the last two minutes of the game and put heavy pressure on the BC
defense and goalie Scott Clemenson.

BC's defense looked as good as I've seen it this year ... which is
impressive given the possible let-down from an intense weekend series with
UNH.

Tidbits:
Farkas adds to leading leading goal total, getting his 15th
Gionta ends 11 game point scoring streak.
Cohen scores for Merrimack but only has 3 goals at break after scoring 20+
last season.
Welby has surrended 3 goals or less in 9 of 12 games this year.
Merrimack played with only five defenseman for more than two periods as they
lost their best blueliner, Stephen Moon on a hitting from behind infraction
and game misconduct.
