In fact, Saltarelli is a senior this year and this was his last
campaign.  The scoring leader in the ECAC playoffs, Casson Masters,
also graduates (along with a fine group of senior leaders for the
Tigers).
 
The Tigers do retain Jeff Halpern (a Jr. this year) who was #2 behind
Masters on the ECAC playoff scoring list and the ECAC Tournament MVP.
Halpern broke John McBride's record for goals in a season this year
when he put his 28th past Turco in the Western Regional.  Halpern was
also named an ECAC Second Team All-Star and will be one of Princeton's
two candidates for the Hobey next year.
 
The other Hobey candidate playing in Baker Rink will be Steve
Shirreffs who was named an ECAC First Team All-Star this year as a
junior.  He was also named to the ECAC All-Tournament Team in Lake
Placid.  Shirreffs has always been excellent in his own end but since
tallying the game winning goal against Boston University in December
he has performed in the offensive zone as well.
 
As far as goaltending, look for either Craig Bradley (a sophomore this
year) or the freshman recruit to take over in net.  Nick Rankin (a
junior this year) split time with Saltarelli early last season but it
would be a surprise if he jumps to the head of the goaltending pack.
